I am Kathy Mastroianni, President and Founder of Spirit Song Creations, LLC. Personally, I have a lot of life experience that has created a deep empathy and compassion for those experiencing the "growth experiences" of life. When I was 6 years old, her mother, who was a victim of domestic violence, committed suicide. My sister and I were then raised by our father. He died of a heart attack when I was 14 years old and then my 19 year old sister became my legal guardian. 

When I was 16 years old, one New Year's eve--feeling overwhelmed after my boyfriend broke up with me and grieving my father's death--I attempted suicide. This was a turning point for me of starting counseling, going within and healing the past. Realizing that I could have easily been put in foster care, I had a deep desire to help children and let them to know they are not alone, to see their beauty and light so they can move through and beyond conditions in their lives and create the world of their dreams. This has extended to supporting anyone going through challenging times or who is open to gain more clarity on their life's purpose.

Currently, I am a licensed Religious Science Minister through the Centers for Spiritual Living and also have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan, a Reiki II and a Oneness Blessing Giver, and have taken countless classes and experienced many healing modalities. Yoga has been a deeply transforming presence in my life and I use the principles and practices in my work, especially chanting and Bhakti Yoga--the Yoga of Devotion. 

I am a student of life (aren't we all?!!), as well as someone who has supported thousands of people on their life transitions and journeys through my 30+ years in the human services. This includes: a nonprofit for runaway youth; a residential treatment center for emotionally challenged children; a Foster Care case manager for Children and Youth Services in Detroit, MI; six years as a Family Advocate at a mountain area Family Resource Center; 10 years as the Executive Director (including round the clock on-call/or back up) for a rural mountain domestic violence shelter for women, children and their pets, 24-hour crisis hotline; and 15+ years as a volunteer Victim Advocate for Park County Sheriff's Office. 

Through all these experiences, I am honored to share with you simple spiritual tools and practices that can help move through challenging times, gain greater clarity on situations, and create more happiness and peace in all areas of your life. Sometimes each and every one of us needs a little extra support and guidance--our "God Squad".
